Cottonwood seeds? What eats that? How about carp and big ole brown trout. Carp regularly take cottonwood seeds during the late spring and early summer. A nice, easy, quick meal for a carp and one of the few flies that can be used to entice carp into top water action. Brown trout readily eat cottonwood seeds in rivers and streams that have cottonwood trees along their banks.
