One guess where this pattern originated. Designed by Fran Betters for trout fishing in the Adirondacks. This pattern is a great general attractor that floats extremely while. A heavily hackled body make it a great pattern for skittering across the surface or for twitching. While a calf tail post makes it extremely easy to see in low light conditions.
