Calf tails are very popular for short wings on spey classic steelhead flies and salt patterns. These are beautifully dyed with UV2 process, which brings all colors out in poor water conditions. Popular for parachute posts, Crazy Charlies, Green Butt Skunks and many other must-have patterns. Calf tail does have some kink to it.
