CDC Midge Wing Emerger
$0.89
Description
Midges are an important food source for trout, particularly in the winter. While many insects don’t start hatching until the spring, most waters have midge and bwo hatches throughout the year. If your looking for surface action in the middle of winter, chances are a midge pattern is going to be your best bet. Tied with a cdc wing this pattern has a bit of natural floatation to it. While hackle keeps this fly dancing nicely along the surface. Without floatant this pattern should keep in the subsurface, however, if floatant is applied be sure to use one that is CDC friendly.
