Description
Invented by Pat Dorsey on the South Platte River to entice finicky fish. This pattern has caught on for its productiveness and versatility. Midges are available in most rivers most of the year and are therefore a stable for many trout. This pattern in particular does well when fished deep, in the subsurface, or anywhere in between. CDC along the back helps keep this pattern in the subsurface without the need to apply a float or constantly dry. Sink it with split shot and the CDC gives this pattern an emergence look convincing trout to deal out aggressive strikes. Perfect pattern for this time of year and extremely popular in Western rivers.
